I'd like the experience of being in a gondola once in my lifetime.
I can see myself taking in the Venetian sites and being sung to by a standing gondolier behind me.

Coexist
The symbols caught my eye.
I did some searching to learn more about the symbols, the meanings of the symbols and about Coexist.
Here are what the symbols represent.
Islam - the crescent moon and star
Baha'i Faith - the nine-pointed star
Male/Female -
Judaism - the Magen David
Paganism - the Ankh
Taoism - the Yin-Yang symbol
Christianity - the cross and crucifix
Here are some other interesting facts on religious symbols.

Oh, those Game Show Hosts
There have been quite a few televised game shows and game show hosts over the years.
I did a quick research and was surprised to find over 250 names on this list of game show hosts . (these game shows aired in the United States).
Did you know Who Do You Trust? was a game show hosted by Johnnie Carson hosted with Ed McMahon as announcer before their Tonight Show gig?
And, Carmen Electra hosted a game show called Singled Out. This game has lots of players.
And, William Shatner hosted Show Me the Money.
This game show showcased twelve Million Dollar Dancers. You can even catch Mr. Shatner 'cuttin' a rug'. There's lots of dancing in this game show.
The contestant answers a question then chooses a dancer and asks the dancer to Show Me the Money! There's big money in play in this game show.
Remember Mike Wallace, Walter Conkite and Hugh Downs?
They were former game show hosts.
My favorite game show hosts-Allen Ludden
Chuck Barris
Art Fleming
and, Bill Cullen.
I don't think game shows can be brought up without mentioning Merv Griffith.
Mr. Griffith started as a singer before being involved in creating game shows.
He started on a game show called Play Your Hunch, produced by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman Productions.
And, it wouldn't be right to forget the announcers of The Price is Right. "Come on down!" My favorite announcer was Johnny Olson, who was the announcer on over 30 game shows and was the very first announcer on the Price is Right.
There's even a Game Show Network, devoted to nothing but game shows-old and new.The newest game show, Hellevator, was added to the GSN lineup and it's hosted by the Soska sisters.
This game is in the horror game show category.
Here's a listing of game shows (past and current) airing on American television.
(This listing includes panel games, dating/relationship games, kids, teens and college games, reality games and games aired specific to certain regions or States).
Game shows remain popular because you never know what will be said while watching the hosts conduct contestants through challenges or questions playing a game to win or lose money. The contestants have no scripts and the outcome of their choices can make them either game winners or losers.

Drafting and more drafting
I've mentioned that I've not been blogging as much as I used to.
But I have been jotting down ideas for blog posts.
I have a good list of blog drafts I have yet to complete.
The topics I've drafted span from people and things of interest.
I just need to finish each draft, add images and/or an
accompanying video to nicely compliment the topic, then
edit before posting.
This looks like a quiet place to write.

Totally into Hello Kitty™
There are some who adore kittens and some who can't get quite enough Hello Kitty™.
Hello Kitty is BIG! and not showing any signs of slowing any time soon.
Hello Kitty is everywhere! I'm not surprised there isn't a Hello Kitty house.
Wait! There is a Hello Kitty™ house.
Here's Hello Kitty's family.
You can even have Hello Kitty™ in your green tea.
I came across some interesting things out there for those who must have their Hello Kitty® fix
satisfied in a big way.
Restaurant- You can eat in 'Hello Kitty' style.
A girl can sleep, wear, eat, drink, wake up to, fall asleep on, walk on, be adorned by, carry, tell time on, etc. Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty™ is a way of life and making many girls and women happy.
There are two destination theme parks for those who need to be surrounded for taking in all the Hello Kitty™ one can imagine.
Eat your heart out Mickey!
Theme park. Japan
Theme park. China
There's probably lots more, but that's enough Hello Kitty™ pinkness for this blog post.

One Week- Early Fall, 2015
I haven't been blogging regularly and that bothers me because I like to write my thoughts.
I have too many daily 'to-dos' on my plate, so some things get put off for a while.
Come to think of it, it's been a while since I've gotten an email from one of my favorite writers.
Maybe he's not been writing regularly either. His book,"Out Where the Buses Don't Run', is good.
Life seems to get crazier and busier in spite of all the modern conveniences we have. I don't see
my daily schedule slowing down. And everyone I know seems to be just as busy.
It's mid-afternoon and I haven't been outside to see about the goat. I'm sure she needs water,
and food, of course, even though she has plenty to grass to nibble on. And Zeus. He's 21 years old and he's not doing much more than sleeping day and night.
This is my week of vacation and it's half over and so far I've spent it being downright lazy.
I'm busy all day, but when I look around I can't see what I've been so busy doing.
So I thought I'd make myself a list of things to get done. That didn't work either.
But is has been quiet, relaxing, and I'm enjoying the peacefulness of not having to think about
going in to work. That alone has been delightful for me emotionally and physically. I've been enjoying sleeping at night like a regular person, and waking up when I've had sufficient sleep.
My stay-cation has been lovely, however I wanted to get more things accomplished.
I still have a few more days to myself, so if I apply myself I can get a few tangible items accomplished.
Writing this blog is one of a dozen things I want to get done. I still want to clean out my little shed, clean the inside of my vehicles, wash mold off the siding, wash the SunPorch, and pull up weeds in the garden.
And today just happens to be my birthday, though it doesn't feel anything like a birth day should
feel. But that's okay. I'm not complaining. I have received 'Happy Birthday' wishes from five people.

I need to do something nice for someone on my birthday. That will really make my day.
I must end for now to get busy on my list. And if all goes well, I'll can a few jars of persimmon jam and squash and okra and juice some carrots later. I also want to go through the old family photo album to look for the pictures of me when I was a Camp Fire girl. I'm considering purchasing an old Camp Fire Girl book I saw on Amazon.
I wish I could locate my blue vest with my beads I earned.
I still yearn to have a tepee erected somewhere outside so I can enjoy being inside one whenever I want.

And just maybe one day I will have one.
Thank you Lord for allowing me to be well and enjoy another birthday.

Swearing & cursing outbursts
I ran across this article on kids swearing to express themselves.
After reading it, I thought parents don't purposely encourage their child to curse or swear,
but by allowing their children to hear cursing and swearing at home, parents are encouraging their kids to use swear words.
So what should a parent do to discourage or change behavior should their child begins cursing?

I recommend for adults who use profanity or expressive curse words to take notice to limit certain words if within hearing range of young ears so those young don't hear or learn such descriptive words. I remember my parents spelling out words around us kids, though I doubt they were spelling swear or curse words.
I understand at times swearing and 'choice' curse words for expressing one's true feelings and emotions is appropriate. I don't deny using certain expressive words at times, but I do not use the Lord's name, or say, 'g.d' no matter how emotionally frustrated or upset I may be at the moment.
I believe if you have a decent vocabulary in your native language, you are more adequately equipped to verbally express your feelings tactfully and intelligently so the need for resorting to profanity or cursing isn't necessary expressing your thoughts or feelings.
Kids get emotionally charged and they mimic exactly what they've seen and heard from adults.
There are some general reasons why a person chooses to swear- for expressive, verbal emphasis, to feel 'macho' in a situation, and to help deal with feelings of discomfort.
All in all, heightened emotions are behind profanity, and often those words can be vile, hurtful and cruel when spoken to or about a person.
There are occasions when swearing is an appropriate means of expression, if done with respect for people who will be in earshot, especially children who are prone to repeating what they've heard.
Unfortunately, children do hear cursing and profanity, but may not fully know the meaning of the words. Before 'foul language' becomes habitual, I would hope an adult takes time and explains there's a more appropriate way to voicing one's thoughts and feelings which would also be more apt of getting help and attention and getting one's point and thoughts vocalized to another person.
I much prefer hearing kids saying the 'darndest things' like in this
vid with Art Linkletter.
